When a full-blooded young man like me makes what I call a kind of sojourn into the UK without essential back-up such as the presence of the one you love and left back home to keep you in check, one is bound to stray in this country a few times. Over the last two years, I have had my temptations. I have been able to deal with some of these temptations adequately but I have also fallen by the wayside a few times. You can judge me as much as you like but I must confess living in the UK has been one of the most difficult times of my life.
I look back and think I shouldn't have fallen the few times I fell but I have learnt so many lessons that can't ever be learnt from books. I have realized you can't ever let a certain hurt get out of your mind or heart by trying to use someone or something to recover from that hurt. It will only end up blowing up in your face and you end up getting hurt the more.
This may just be the right place to talk about the sojourns of young men like me in their late 20s who think temptations in a place like this can be avoided if you stay focused but it's not always like that when the real situations prop up .....
To men like myself and my good friend and brother T.Notes who is more prone to temptations (lol ...true talk though) ...... God be with us!!!!

I will not judge you and I would say I perfectly understand. E no easy at all even for girl oh.
Lara has said it. Can't judge you on such matters. Do the best you can and let God guide you. The only thing I would say is keep safe. Better to be safe than sorry;-)
I was gong to add:
UK can be a lonely place. It takes a lot of 'getting used' to the lone way of living. It gets easier or you find ways of cpoing after a while, I think. Blogging regularly helps too. LOL.
Blessings.....
Life is filled with temptations, in every nation, in every culture in every country. It is the nature of things. None of us are immune.
The key I have found in my experience is to be truthful with oneself even if you cannot be with anyone else.
If one find their selves in another place, another time, another location and have challenges holding commitments made, then their needs to be some hard decisions made. Sometimes it maybe necessary to cut ties and leave oneself unencumbered to live and explore instead of trying to hold on to things/people that you know you cannot be true to and create unnecessary hurts.
Yes the break will inevitable hurt, sometimes there is no avoiding it but it is infinitely better to honour oneself than to knowingly deceive someone, the hurt then once discovered (an it will eventually as nothing stays hidden forever) is tenfold and no one deserves that kind of betrayal.
Sometimes it is better to be a little bit cruel to be kind (end a relationship in honour) than to pretend and devastate anothers heart and mind with years of betrayal and lies. That is much harder to forgive and get over.
Just be true to yourself and don't deceive anybody else.
peace....
