Thoughts

So good to be back!!!!

I haven't been here to write in ages....

I have sat down several times to pen down my thoughts and give them wings to perch on lappies, phones and tablets across the world but I still can't place why this space became so distant. A good reason though is the fact that I totally forgot my password and old age has not really helped. That's history now.

I have missed the days when blogging made total strangers friends and life was so much simpler but Twitter runs the world now. The entire world has shifted to Twitter and I am already beginning to wonder what next after Twitter.

Should I also add I get paid from using a God-given gift...

Life has been hard...
Nigeria is messed up...

Above all

I give thanks...

Life...

I woke up this saturday morning and I realise we are no longer two...

Number three joined us a few months ago and I look at her with pride and the instinct of being a father sets in again. Just last night, tears came gushing down my eyes. Not because I was sad, but the wonders of this gift from God excites me. I try to figure out many times how a slippery substance turns into a whole human being perfect with bones, skin and organs inside the womb. Right now, am imagining God busy at work immediately there's a vigorous bout of sex in any part of the world. HE's really an unquestionable God.

So much to talk about...

Tides......

When the tide rises above you
It becomes increasingly difficult to be you
And all seems complicated like the words from T.Notes pen
Your eyes swell with tears that won't drop

Times like this happens to the best of us
Do we give up?
Should we give up?

NO!

We stand up
We rise above the tide

Why?

...Because the 'G' up there enables us more than we think!!!!

Goodbye Alvin ........

The pains we face now .....

You were d joy holding us closer than ever
We were expectant
We were getting ready
We were preparing the ground

But .......

You had to go back

It still hurts
We believe you will be back soon

No matter what ......

We love you and we will remain expectant!

Dear T.Notes ......

Like I said, something keeps calling me back here!

With the spirits of blogsphere hovering over my head and disturbing me in my sleep, I'm hereby notifying you that your days of taking charge of the female folks on here are over. With my long absence, if the spirits guiding us here agree, we may still do the 50-50 formula like it used to be back in the day.

However, do not hesitate to notify me of any new blog that will be of immense interest to me!

I rest my case.

LOL!

Writing ......

The beauty of writing
The beauty of words
The beauty this space brings
The smooth flow of keypads cruising with the mind & thoughts

This space I miss
This land I cherish
This space I have 'crushed'

This space keeps calling me back
No matter how hard I run!

Moving Back .......

Moving back to Nigeria has been crazy!!!!

This country is still messed up! I have been back for a couple of months now and it’s been with mixed feelings. Mixed feelings because Nigeria hasn’t changed a bit from what it used to be and also because I miss that Chinese shop where I buy Chinese regularly. If you dare try to buy Chinese in Naija, one will have to pay through the nose for it. It’s all good sha ....I improvise with normal rice and stew.

One good thing about moving back home is the fact that I’m closer to my family. I also have this inner peace of having my own home and I can gradually plan my life. The bad part of moving back home stems from the fact that more people are on your case and trust Nigerians, they think they know what next step you have to take whether it is what you want or not. I got this strange call from a guy who felt I should just go and do a phd straight because I have a UK masters. Na so e easy? This guy was really on my case, he kept pushing me back and forth until I categorically told him a phd isn’t what you just jump into, it is a research process and one must have sustained interest. Well, things are taking shape gradually. Employment is still a big issue but I have seen it all since I got back. From working in Lekki to struggling with traffic and waking up at 3am to get to work early enough, it’s been really crazy. I will share my work experience in Lekki via another post soon enough. Let’s hope I have finally appeased the gods that have prevented me from blogging.
I have missed folks here! What have you guys been up to?

So Far .....

I just can't count the number of times I have come to this blog with the hope of pouring out my thoughts like never before. I really can't come out with my thoughts because I know loads of people(those who have somehow linked the real me to this blog) sneak here to see or know what's been going on in my life (as if there's anything interesting *smirks*). Times like this, I really wish I had remained anonymous! I still admire my new found 'crush' who despite all threats has refused to come out of the anonymous world. You may be wondering if i'm crazy right? Don't mind me, I always have a virtual crush at one point or the other *hehehehehe*.

So much for this UK life .......

Three years and still counting .....

I have done some crazy things and made some crazy decisions in the last few months or let's just say in 2012. I have even started doing some crazy hairstyle and working on having the perfect David Beckham dress sense and style . I'm a huge a David Beckham fan. I also think watching too much football and seeing different hairstyles on footballers is seriously affecting me.

I think I am enjoying what life has to offer now.

Open Letter to Naijalines

Dear Naijalines,

It's been quite a while Egbon. I haven't heard from you in a while and I trust all is well.....

I must admit that I don't usually blog like I used to do, not because of lack of things to write about but the zeal and muse to write just seems to have disappeared. However, I come here quite often to do the usual blog rounds and I must confess, to see what my naughty friends like T.Notes has been up to in recent times and catch up on the identities of the latest girls admiring his writing. (LOL!).

Egbon, I also snoop around your blog even though I don't often drop comments like before. Some few days back, I was dropping by as usual and noticed that your blog has been turned into a 'CIA' blog whereby one has to be invited before one can read the contents.

What exactly do I have to do to become an elite member or reader of your new blog????

Your 'Aburo'( Am I still in that position?)

2011 ...............

2011
Terrible mistakes were made
Wrong decisions were made
Got carried away a lot of times
Things were at a standstill

Along the line
Things got back in line
Doors were opened
Mistakes were rectified

Made more enemies
Just for things to be right
No regrets whatsoever
I forge ahead without regrets

A better entity evolved
The peace came back and covered all pains
Pains were relieved

2012
Will be better
Major steps will be taken
Joy will be fully restored

Racism is still here ........

Racism is definitely still here in the UK......

After spending about two years here, I think I got my first full dose of racism at work and I'm so pissed about it that I'm taking it up with the management. I understand that the typical uneducated British hates immigrants because they think we are the ones causing problems for their economy and their social amenities. I really don't blame them, our quest for a better life has pushed us as immigrants to share in their country's so called wealth. Are they even wealthy now with all these economic predictions they may be heading back into another recession?

The UK has really got immigration issues and in solving it, they are going about it the wrong way. While other countries like Australia and Canada are opening up their borders for skilled workers, the UK is closing theirs against skilled workers. Why should I even blame them, my country- Nigeria has refused over the years to be creative with their wealth and in the nearest future, I don't think it will.

At the end of the day, not all that glitters is gold in any country one finds himself!

WORDS .....

Words are like fire
It could be used to destroy
Words have destroyed a lot
Words seem like fire
Words that seem to act on their own
Without understanding the full implications
Words may be the best weapon to free the pains
The pains will forever be there when the words can no longer find wings

The words of fire will be quenched soon
The smoke will gather
The ruins will remain

Looking back
The fire should have remained as smoke!!!

UK Pains.... 1

When a full-blooded young man like me makes what I call a kind of sojourn into the UK without essential back-up such as the presence of the one you love and left back home to keep you in check, one is bound to stray in this country a few times. Over the last two years, I have had my temptations. I have been able to deal with some of these temptations adequately but I have also fallen by the wayside a few times. You can judge me as much as you like but I must confess living in the UK has been one of the most difficult times of my life.

I look back and think I shouldn't have fallen the few times I fell but I have learnt so many lessons that can't ever be learnt from books. I have realized you can't ever let a certain hurt get out of your mind or heart by trying to use someone or something to recover from that hurt. It will only end up blowing up in your face and you end up getting hurt the more.

This may just be the right place to talk about the sojourns of young men like me in their late 20s who think temptations in a place like this can be avoided if you stay focused but it's not always like that when the real situations prop up .....

To men like myself and my good friend and brother T.Notes who is more prone to temptations (lol ...true talk though) ...... God be with us!!!!

Musco Got His Mojo Back!

Somehow, Musco has got his blogging mojo back!

I must confess I come here everyday with the zeal to write something but my hands fail me even though most times my head is full of so many thoughts, real-life experiences I want to share. One good reason why I have refused to blog in a while is the fact that I was angry with the world and so called friends. I just didn't want to use my blog as a way of letting out my anger. If I had done that, I'm so sure I would have world class enemies by now and they may even be calling for my head like they have been calling for Gaddafi's in Libya as well as Arsene Wenger's head at Arsenal.

I don't do blog rounds that much again but that yeye boy or man called T.Notes always has a way of making me go to his blog to make comments. I was almost pushed to the wall several weeks back when he kept mentioning my name on his blog and making different allusions to the 'Musco' entity, to write a full piece about him but I was told by my legal counsels T.Notes to give him sometime to amend his 'womanish' ways.

Anyways, I'm back and will be doing a lot of writing in the next few days. I need to start up again with reflection on those days when 'Musco' was a popoular naija blogger.

For friends like my egbon-Naijalines that have abandoned me. God dey o!

Tagged!!!!

I have been tagged again! Although I have been tagged ages ago, I don't really know what kept me from accepting the 'tag'. In my egbon's word (Naijalines):

''The rules are as follows:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.
2. Tell us 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 other bloggers.
4. Contact these bloggers and let them know that they have won''

Since it's been ages I was tagged, I will just go straight ahead without following the rules and tell you seven things about myself .........

1. I'm beginning to love football with a strange passion that has not been there before. Even though it gives me heart-ache when the team I support loses, I promise myself to stop watching football but the next weekend I'm a die-hard Arsenal fan again!

2. I think I have a thing for older women, most of my virtual friends are older than me and I really enjoy having them as my friends *winking*.

3. I daydream a lot about what my complimentary card will look like in the nearest future because of all the academic qualifications I seem to have acquired.

4. I'm getting tired of making job applications!!!

5.I still fight a lot with my mum even though we are miles apart but we seem to have a special way of settling our differences.

6. I have a sleeping dis-order!!! No matter the time I sleep, I wake up like 2-3am and I can't sleep until the break of dawn.

7. I have a strong passion for Naija music and I believe I have a good ear to know if a particular naija music will be a hit or not. I'm also daydreaming of starting my own record label that will be a force to reckon with on the naija music scene.

Done!!!

No elaborate .....

No elaborate title for this post!!!!

I have a feeling it's been ages since I put down my thoughts on blogville. I really don't know why it's so difficult to write these days. Maybe I'm gradually getting too old for blogging(...is this really an excuse?) or I have just lost the zeal to just flow. I must confess that I do log into my account to write but after some few minutes, I log out again because the words just seem to go into thin air once I try to pick the particular issue to blog about. I still do a lot of blog rounds even if I don't leave comments but I do read a lot of writings from other blogs.

It is interesting to note that since I have been on AWOL for a while, T.Notes has gradually increased his female fan base on blogville because I no longer monitor his movements on the female blogs. FYI, I have been monitoring you and I will soon start giving you a run for your money amongst the blogville female community asap.

My dear egbon- Naijalines tagged me several weeks ago and I'm promising to make that my next post asap.......!!!

My muse is back I guess!!!

Can I ....?????

Can I really leave????

I have been asking myself that question for the past few weeks since I put up my last post. My heart has been pounding with words that need to be put down in writing. I'm going absolutely nuts right now and blogging about my issues right might probably help because I have been having this funny idea of jumping into the river I pass through to work almost everyday.

I know I have made some terrible mistakes in my life. I know I have let a lot of people down especially someone. Is it exactly my fault? The person in question is never there to stop me from making these terrible mistakes when I'm about to make them but castigates me like hell when the deed is done. I feel like giving it all up now but a friend has 'hammered' it into my head that if I do anything stupid, life continues as usual for ..... and I may even be labelled as stupid if I do exactly what is on my mind.

For now, I'm also contemplating alcohol is a way out of this trying times but will it really help? I don't really know but the bottom-line is I'm freaking tired of all the bullshit going on in my lfe right now!

Do I feel better now? I think so since I have let it out a bit. This may be part of the recovery process!

I know this looks entirely stupid but I'm not editing jo!

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The time has finally come
I no longer feel safe here
I can no longer put my thoughts down here
I know I have stalkers following my every blog move

But

Can I really leave blogville?
I probably need a rebirth
Or a more quiet place
Where my thoughts can be let out in writing without any fears!!!!!!!!!!!
I may still be lurking around in a different form .......

For now

I bid this blog a final goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Winter Dialogue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

musco: O boy this winter dey hammer body o!

'kini':Before nko?

musco: Wetin we go do to survive am?

'kini: U dey craze?no be you dey control me?

musco:Control you?!All the times you have put me into trouble nko? I have said it times without number that you absolutely have a mind of your own and you always tend yo use that against me.

'kini': LOL!!!!!!!!

musco:Sounds funny right? God dey o

'kini':lol.... whatever you say, I still keep warm down here somehow

musco: So how come you make me toss and turn on my bed each time I wake up in this terrible cold?

'kini': You already have a mindset that you can use me to keep warm especially with my twin(Do I even have a twin?)

musco: Can't I just have a decent conversation with you????? This winter is killing and as it is, you are the only one I can talk to!

'kini': You are talking to the wrong 'thing'!

The winter is here again and it seems I can't cope with the cold anymore. Last year, I was able to cope probably because I have had years of Nigerian sun burnt into my body but it seems the cold has taken it all out now. Obviously, the cold has made me started acting weird and that's why I had to engage in a conversation with 'kini'. My past posts on 'Monologues' should help to understand the 'kini' concept better.

I hope nobody crucifies me this time. Na winter cause am ...lol!

Nice to be back on blogsville.

I also stumbled on this new blog. It looks and sounds down to earth to me. Do check her out ......http://adeesco-myworld.blogspot.com/
